Fall wellness day next week

NC State community:

I hope that you’re doing well and that your fall semester is off to a productive start. Tuesday, Sept. 19, is our scheduled wellness day for this semester. There will be no classes, and faculty are encouraged to avoid any deadlines on that day, or deadlines or tests on the following day.

This wellness day is an opportunity to take a moment to evaluate how you’re doing in the midst of a busy semester. Check in with yourself, check in with your friends and colleagues and, if you need support, take advantage of the many resources available to you as a member of the Pack.

There are also many events scheduled for Tuesday across campus to support mental health and well-being. There’s something for everyone, including a smoothie bowl station takeover at Fountain Dining Hall, tailgate games at Miller Fields, a therapy dog session at D.H. Hill Jr. Library and more.

Thank you to the faculty, staff, students and volunteers who continue to step up to provide support, care and opportunities for our community to come together. However you choose to spend your day on Tuesday, I hope that you’ll take some time to relax, take care of yourself and connect with others.

Thank you, and be well.
